Dear Tun’Up friends and community,

Your age is between 8 and 24? You are interested in getting to know the first steps in the world of typesetting programming?

We are pleased to invite you to our workshop “Tun’E Up Your Report” on the 24. October 2021 online. This workshop is jointly supported by SAP, Haus des Stiftens gGmbH, and is aimed at introducing children and young people aged between 8 and 24 to the world of technology and coding.

From IT amateur to IT Guru, either at school, at university or at work, we always need to write reports documenting progress and findings. In order to be efficient and achieve insightful documentation respecting the required standards, IT tools could be leveraged.

In this context we Tun'Up Munich e.V. , a social and humanitarian non-profit organization aiming to promote a better education in Tunisia., we plan an online session on Latex, a powerful software for document preparation. 

LaTeX is a free software package created in 1985 (by computer scientist) and was one of the first typesetting programs able to produce complex mathematical equations, then over the years it has been used to typeset many science, mathematics, and engineering journals [Britannica].

By the end of our session, attendees will be able to create their first Latex document under a specific technical format (ex: scientific paper), including tables, figures, mathematical equations and academic references. The agenda of the session is composed of a theoretical part presenting the basic concepts of the Tex language as well as a hands-on part to ensure learning by doing.
 
There is no registration fee and all necessary materials will be provided (please don’t forget to bring your personal computer).
